ভারতের ত্রিপুরা রাজ্যে ২৫ বছরের বাম শাসনের অবসান ঘটিয়ে সরকার গঠন করতে যাচ্ছে বিজেপি। শনিবার ঘোষিত নির্বাচনী ফলে দেখা যায়, ৪০টিরও বেশি আসনে জয় পেয়ে এরই মধ্যে বিজয় নিশ্চিত করেছে কেন্দ্রের ক্ষমতাসীন দলটি। এ জয়কে ঐতিহাসিক বিজয় বলে আখ্যা দিয়েছে বিজেপি। তবে নাগাল্যান্ডে বিজেপি নতুন জোটের সঙ্গী হলেও সমান সমান অবস্থানে রয়েছে স্থানীয় দল এনপিএফ। এদিকে, মেঘালয় বিধানসভায় জয়ের ধারা অব্যাহত রাখতে চলেছে কেন্দ্রের বিরোধী দল কংগ্রেস।

ত্রিপুরায় ২০১৩ সালের নির্বাচনে কোনো আসনে জয় না পাওয়া বিজেপি এবার, রাজ্যের উপজাতি অধ্যুষিত বেশির ভাগ আসনে জয় পেয়েছে। আর এটিই বামফ্রন্টের পরাজয়ের নিয়ামক হিসেবে কাজ করেছে বলে জানিয়েছে গণমাধ্যম।

নাগাল্যান্ডে এতদিন এনপিএফের সঙ্গে জোট সরকারে থাকলেও, এ বারের নির্বাচনে নতুন দল ন্যাশনালিস্ট ডেমোক্রেটিক প্রগ্রেসিভ পার্টি-এনডিপিপির সঙ্গে নির্বাচনে অংশ নেয় বিজেপি। রাজ্য বিধানসভার ৬০ আসনের মধ্যে এখন পর্যন্ত প্রকাশিত ফলাফলে দুই দলই প্রায় সমান সমান অবস্থানে রয়েছে।
