Polling for the crucial by-poll elections in Andhra Pradesh has just ended. Political fate of Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is currently in jail, is being decided by voters in 18 Andhra Pradesh constituencies. In 16 of the 18 assembly seats that vote today, by-elections are being held because the sitting Congress MLAs were disqualified by the Assembly Speaker for switching loyalties to Mr Reddy's YSR Congress and voting against the Congress government during a no-trust vote in December last year.
