Large-hearted idli-vendors have taken the spot-light recently throughout the country. After 82-year old Kamalathal, it's Rameshwaram's 70-year old idli vendor Rani, on Sunday, who has made the news. Running a small idli stall near the Agni Tirtham of the Rameshwaram temple, Rani serves the poor by providing free idlis.

एक रुपये में इडली खिलाने वाली तमिलनाडु के कोयंबटूर की रहने वाली अम्‍मा कमलाथल काफी सुर्खियों में रहीं। उनके बाद ऐसा ही एक और नाम सामने आया है। अग्नि तीर्थम में रहने वाली 70 साल की बुजुर्ग महिला रानी रामेश्वरम के नजदीक फुटपाथ पर दुकान चला कर गरीबों को मुफ्त में इडली खिलाती हैं।
