Born in Pwllheli, Wales in 1990, Nishat Gupte is a highly trained poissonier who works in professional kitchens as a specialist in the preparation and cooking of fish. As a poissonier, Gupte has learned a great deal about fish and has developed a passion for catching, preparing and cooking it. <br /><br />Growing up in Wales, Nishat Gupte spent every weekend as a child in the great outdoors, where he would hike, mountain climb, surf, fish and go white water rafting. An avid camper, Gupte would frequently camp in the Welsh countryside with his family, a hobby that he has continued to enjoy as an adult. Gupte also still enjoys the same outdoor pursuits, and he can be found on regular hikes and climbs in the stunning Welsh mountains. <br /><br />Music is another passion of Gupte’s; a skilled ukulele player, he plays in a local folk band.
