Hi<br /><br />I am Christian and a fan of instrumental music of the sixties (The Shadows, The Spotnicks, The Ventures...)<br /><br />To reproduce these vintage sounds, I am not using vintage equipment. Too expensive and difficult to find, and not reliable. But above all, they do not really allow to reach the objective. <br /><br />Instead, I am using a software based solution, based on VST plugins. These plugins emulate vintage echo units, reverb, tube/tape saturation, equalizers, etc.. They are arranged in patches that run within a special software named VSTHost, on a portable PC. Most of VST plugins are free, so the solution is cheap, compact and universal. Universal because it allows to reproduce practically any sound: Shadows, Spotnicks, but also any other modern pop/rock/blues sounds.<br />I am using a dedicated patch for each tune, to be as close as possible from original sound. Well... it's not always the case, some sounds remaining enigmas... <br />People interested can download my VST solution from my personal forum, the link is provided beside (Où me retrouver).
