Denis Martindale - The Penguin

Denis Martindale - The Penguin

I've seen the beautiful penguin br And what a sight it is! br It's very cute, you're bound to grin - br It's next to perfect bliss! br The way it waddles side-to-side, br Its webbed feet on the go br And at full throttle, open wide, br It still moves kinda slow... br It reminds me of a beaver, br The water is its home, br Yet it likes to take a breather, br As onward it would roam... br It's virgin white on waiter black, br A costume ready-made... br The water's surface starts to crack - br It dives in unafraid! br I'd like to stroke a penguin's front br To see if penguins smile... br I've not been on a penguin hunt br In quite a long, long while! br It must be great to have such fun, br To swim and swirl below, br Inside wet water, 'neath the sun, br Fluorescent, all aglow! br Forget about a Teddy Bear! br Its fur is way too rough! br I'd rather be at home and share br A penguin I could love...
