Will. H. Ogilvie - The Shadow on the Blind

Will. H. Ogilvie - The Shadow on the Blind

Last night I walked among the lamps that gleamed, br    And saw a shadow on a window blind, br A moving shadow; and the picture seemed br    To call some scene to mind. br br I looked again; a dark form to and fro br    Swayed softly as to music full of rest, br Bent low, bent lower: -- Still I did not know. br    And then, at last, I guessed. br br And through the night came all old memories flocking, br    White memories like the snowflakes round me whirled. br "All's well!" I said; "The mothers still sit rocking br    The cradles of the world!"br br Will. H.
