Stanley Cooper - Food For Thought

Stanley Cooper - Food For Thought

Is it really so depraving br I like to eat a lot? br The thought of food I’m craving br Just ties me in a knot br br THAT’S FOOD FOR THOUGHT br br In time gone by, not in my day br Scholars taught the world was flat br For this they earned their scholars pay br And they believed in all of that! br br THAT’S FOOD FOR THOUGHT br br He thought he sailed the Indian Ocean br But found America by chance br Columbus had not the slightest notion br How great this happenstance br br THAT’S FOOD FOR THOUGHT br br There were prayers to many a deity br To fill the peoples needs br They prayed with reverent piety br In hope that Gods would heed br br THAT’S FOOD FOR THOUGHT br br Do we come from Adam’s rib br Or as Darwin claims from monkeys? br Can it be he was too glib br And perhaps a bit too funky? br br THAT’S FOOD FOR THOUGHT br br So many of our fellow man br We’ve often fought and killed br That started when the world began br And too much blood we’ve spilled br br THAT’S FOOD FOR THOUGHTbr br Stanley Cooperbr br
