Sidi J. Mahtrow - Do-ing the Dog

Sidi J. Mahtrow - Do-ing the Dog

Don't know if they are out of a job, recently fired br Or maybe amongst the ranks of newly tired br But from early morn til after eleven, br They walk the streets as if in heaven. br Always accompanied by man's best friend br With a plastic bag to put poop in. br They never stop to chat or make amends br For misplaced droppings that in my yard; ends. br Unaware that a dog's sign on a post br Means to other dogs, this gardeners's a host. br No way to erase the tell-tale watery flow br That to an azalea does death bestow. br Haps the economy will take a turn br And to some distant place they'll return. br Should new opportunities abound br I hope it's out of my hometown. br They can take their friend and all br To a new city and job that may enthrall br As long as it's far, far away br So my plants can live another day. br br sbr br Sidi J.
