If I were a rabbit br I would hop all around br I would nibble carrots br Without making a sound br If I were a lion br And even if I was full of might br As I was defeated by an ant br So I am on a vegetarian diet br If I were a fish br I will swim in the water br I won’t dare come out br Because then it will be hotter br If I were a horse br I would participate in races br And secure the first place br And look at happy faces br If I were a giraffe br I would have a view from the top br But I am still unlucky br Because I can not hop br If I were a kangaroo br I would hop around with a pouch br But I hope I won’t fall down br Otherwise I will say ‘ouch! ! ’ br If I were a penguin br I would walk like a baby br If the weather becomes hot br I will have a swim, may be br If I were a monkey br I would sit on a tree br And keep throwing berries br On a poor old donkey br If I was that donkey br I would chew up the monkey br Even though I know br He is not that tasty br If I were a cockroach br I would steal food from the larder br I just hope my other task br Doesn’t become harder br If I were an eagle br I would soar in the sky br And look at my sumptuous prey br From up so high br If I were a camel br I would store food on my back br And then I will move on br Carrying it like a sack br If I were a peacock br I will dance in the showers br Amongst the tall trees br Amongst the beautiful flowers br If I were a sparrow br I will fly or eat grains br Bur even if I only do that br I still have lots of brains br If I were a duck br I will wade in the lake br But I will stop the poem here br Or you will shout, ” stop for heaven’s sake”br br Risha Ahmed (12 yrs)br br
