He pulled the plug on Day, br And the sunlight br Went whirling away, br Down the drain br Of night, br Taking the light br In a shower br Of power. br br The pink and orange clouds br Went whirling about, br Whizzing about the sky br But losing their light... br And a shower of sunbeam sparklers br Were seen, like fireworks br On the 4th of July! br br Then, very quickly, br He turned on the heavenly faucets, br And moonlight gushed forth, br Sliding down the beams of night. br And the second show arrived br In its own shower of bright br Starlight, sparkling up the black sky! br br All I could do was pay my entrance fee, br Stand still, and see br His power and Might, br And on into the night, br I was glad br I hung around br For the second show.
