Lonnie Hicks - Holiday Yets

Lonnie Hicks - Holiday Yets

You know the holidays br are the best br and the worst. br br Expectations rise br to levels so high br that they surely br cannot ever be reached. br br Then there is the commercialization br and the money we all feel we need br to buy the gifts br which our relatives br may or may not need. br br While joy in the giving br is there br also the feeling that br you don't have enough money br to participate br or your gift br is not as good a gift br as the other one br the brother-in-law gives; br you know the brother-in-law br who gives br just to throw br his money around. br . br Oh how I wish the br holidays br had more celebration in them. br br And then the bills br come in January br preceded by New Year's Eve br New Year's Eve that can be both anxiety-ridden br and wonderful. br br What have I achieved this year? br If dating br who is this person br and will they be there next year? br Or my God br they just might be br and I don't know how br I feel about that' br or worse I could be br all alone next New Years Eve. br br Yes, the holidays; br wonderful br and as I say; br Yet? br br Let me out of the holidays br I need a year br to rest.
