Monday was sunny br The day was so fair, br I watched the leaves falling br Through still autumn air. br Tuesday rain showers br The day was so cold, br I felt so lonely br With no one to hold. br Wednesday was windy br And leaves swirled around, br I watched them blowing br Across barren ground. br Thursday was frosty br The land frozen white, br I woke with the songbirds br At dawn's rising light. br Friday brought snowfall br The first of the year, br The winter is coming br And drawing so near. br Saturday misty br The children did play, br With sledges and snowmen br Throughout the whole day. br Sunday I prayed to br The Lord up above, br I needed somebody br To show me some love.
