Why do I keep my head up? br And my eyes looking forward? br It is an incentive I use, br To keep moving my feet. br And not allow my knees, br To touch the ground. br With an exercising done to my legs. br br There was a time, br When I just used my knees... br For the purposes of begging. br Now with my feet moving... br After learning I could walk on them, br It is remarkable the countless opportunities... br I never knew existed I have discovered. br br 'I do miss the 'old' you.' br br I can understand that. br But I felt very uncomfortable on my knees. br And I knew there had to be something else to do, br Since I had done that a little too well. br I needed to be challenged on a regular basis. br And then one day it dawned on me to get up on my feet. br And feel them below me moving.br br Lawrence S.
