Kapil Sharma - Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon
The funny man of television, Kapil Sharma, pretty much extended the act in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. In a part which was pretty much on the edge, courtesy his three on-screen wives and a girlfriend, Kapil did quite well and ensured that there were constant chuckles right through the playing time of the film. He did score a hit with his debut effort itself, though it would be interesting to see the parts he picks up next.

Karan Singh Grover - Alone and Hate Story 3
In his debut leading man act earlier this year, Karan Singh Grover did register a presence despite Bipasha Basu leading the show in a double role. The film couldn't cover much of a distance though. However, he came on his own in Hate Story 3, an erotic dramatic thriller, where he was the central protagonist and showed various facets of his acting skills, along with a strong physique too. He scored well in this hit affair.

Sunny Singh and Omkar Kapoor - Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2
Many wondered if the original cast of Pyaar Ka Punchnama would be missed in the sequel. However, despite being new entrants in the film, Sunny Singh as well as Omkar Kapoor made sure that they delivered a solid performance. Sunny was riotous as a 'Dilli ka ladka' who knew that he was beg taken for a ride while Omkar, in his first role as a male lead (after being a child artist), came up with a mature act too.

Bhumi Pednekar - Dum Laga Ke Haisha
The film was seen as a dead affair till the time its First Look was revealed. Once the promo arrived, there was an intrigue factor about the leading lady Bhumi Pednekar. Later, when the film released, she won everyone's heart with an endearing act that made one and all root for her. Bhumi has been pretty much a find of the year though she has made sure that she won't be typecast in her next film Manmarziyan.

Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty - Hero
The most hyped couple of 2015, Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty were much in news for an entire year leading to the film's release. Though they didn't quite make a smash first impression in a film that was backed by Salman Khan no less, they certainly did well enough to register a good enough presence. Yes, there are a few rough edges but that are expected to be taken care of in the films they sign up next.

Ishita Dutta - Drishyam
It wasn't a conventional 'heroine launch' per se for Ishita Dutta. However, she was lucky to find a character that was central to the scheme of affairs in Drishyam. As a girl who commits a murder and then finds ways along with her family (led by Ajay Devgn) to escape the cops, Ishita had a difficult role to play. However, her face, expressions, body language and mannerisms pretty much suited this vulnerable part.

Shashank Arora - Titli
Not many would have stepped in to play an unconventional part like the one in Titli. However, for newcomer Shashank Arora, it was a good enough opportunity to step into this title role which was as grey as it gets. As a youngster with a criminal family, Shashank had to bring on a realistic act in this dar production by Dibakar Banerjee. Despite the film being a commercial disaster, Shashank was noticed for his act.

Vicky Kaushal - Masaan
Masaan was another film that couldn't really register any commercial gains. However, its leading man Vicky Kaushal found a good enough platform to showcase his skills as an actor. As a small town youngster, he played his difficult part well while being in a realistic space. He was noticed by all critics who saw good promise from the youngster. One now waits to see what he has to deliver with his next film Zubaan.

Ankita Srivastava - Welcome Back
She was an integral part of Welcome Back and actually boasted of a much more screen time than the leading lady Shruti Haasan. No wonder, she featured in the film's promotional campaign throughout and was also a part of all the major songs. As someone who took both Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor for a ride, she came up with a right mix of sensuality and 'bindaas' persona on screen. A good debut this one!

Ridhima Sud - Dil Dhadakne Do
After a wait of a couple of years ever since she faced the camera, Ridhima Sud finally had a big screen release to her name in the form of Dil Dhadakne Do. In her cute-n-rich avtar, she looked and behaved every bit the character, and did what was expected out of her. As a supporting actor, she had quite a few scenes opposite Ranveer Singh, which further made her characterization count. She also did well in Kajarya.
