Shaheen Afridi Best Bowling 5 Wickets in PSL Lahore Qalandars Vs Multan Sultans HBL PSL 2018

Teenage sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi proved why he is regarded so highly in Pakistan as he picked up his maiden five-wicket haul which helped Lahore Qalandars register its first win in the Pakistan Super League on Friday.

17-year-old Afridi, who went wicketless in the previous three matches he played in the tournament, returned figures of 5 wickets for 4 runs from his four overs as Lahore bowled out Multan for a paltry 114 in 19.4 overs after they opted to bat first.

These are the third best bowling figures in PSL history behind Ravi Bopara's 6 for 16 in 2016 and Umar Gul's 6 for 24 earlier this month.

Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara top-scored for Multan with 45 off 30 balls while Ahmed Shehzad and Sohaib Maqsood contributed with 32 and 16 runs respectively, but the rest of the batsmen failed to score even in double digits. Sunil Narine got two while Sohail Khan and Mitchell McClenaghan got a wicket each.

In reply, Lahore rode on captain Brendon McCullum's unbeaten 35 from as many balls while wicketkeeper Gulraiz Sadaf and Anton Devcich also made useful contributions to help the team cross the line with 8 balls to spare.

Mohammad Irfan, Shoaib Malik, Imran Tahir, Junaid Khan and Saif Badar picked up a wicket each but the target was just too small for the bowlers to make a match out of it.

Lahore are still languishing at the bottom of the table with one win from 7 matches while Multan continue to lead the points table with 9 points from 8 games. Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United complete the top-three.

Shaheen Afridi produced one of the most lethal spells of fast bowling ever seen in any level of T20 cricket.
The name Afridi is quite a famous one in cricketing circles and immediately brings memories of a certain Shahid Afridi blasting bowlers to all corners of the ground. However, that monopoly over the name might be at an end. Pakistan have a new Afridi on the block and incidentally, he too is making a name for himself as a teenager. Shaheen Afridi had already announced himself to the world when he took an eight-wicket haul on his first-class debut in a domestic match in Pakistan. The 17-year-old once again grabbed the headlines on Friday -- this time on a much bigger stage, the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Playing for Lahore Qalandars, Shaheen Afridi produced one of the most lethal spells of fast bowling ever seen in any level of T20 cricket. The left-arm pacer took five wickets, giving away just four runs as Multan Sultans suffered a dramatic batting collapse.
The sensational figures put Shaheen in fourth place in the list of most economical T20 five-fors. Sri Lankan spinner Rangana Herath heads the list, courtesy his figures of five for three he achieved against New Zealand.

Table-toppers Multan Sultans, who opted to bat, were cruising at 92 for one after 12.4 overs with Kumar Sangakkara going strong. But once
