 Former House Speaker Paul Ryan on Tuesday recalled the time he gave Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez some professional advice.  According to the GazetteXtra, he told the growd gathered for an annual dinner in Janesville, Wisconsin that he suggested she "just take it easy, just watch things for a while."  "I don't think she really listened to a thing I said," Ryan further commented. Rather than taking it "easy," Ocasio-Cortez has "become one of the most outspoken Democratic leaders in Washington, where she's challenged both Republicans and members of her own party," notes Business Insider.
She has also been critical of Ryan and his efforts to roll back entitlements for some time.  "Paul Ryan and I have something in common: both our fathers died when we were teens," Ocasio-Cortez wrote in a late 2017 tweet. "Paul Ryan received Social Security payments that allowed him to go to college and later, Congress. My family received them too. But I don't shut the door behind me. That would be un-American."
