Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has submitted his resignation to President Trump, effective May 11. Rosenstein has had a tumultuous 2 years in the White House after he appointed special counsel Robert Mueller in 2017 to investigate ties between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 presidential elections.
