Ministry looking into incentives for teachers who furthered education

The Education Ministry is in discussion with the Public Service Department (JPA) to provide incentives to teachers who have furthered their education, obtaining Masters and PhDs.
In his speech at the national Teachers Day celebrations held at Setia SPICE Arena in Bayan Lepas on Thursday, Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik said the ministry has also agreed to provide insurance coverage for teachers who accompany students to programmes held outside their school.
