Environment minister to discuss with Aussie govt how to send back Lynas radioactive waste

Hours after the Prime Minister announced Malaysia’s plan to allow Lynas Corp to continue operating its rare earth processing plant in Malaysia, Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Minister Yeo Bee Yin reiterated the government’s stand on the issue of sending Lynas radioactive waste back to Australia.
She said she would go to Australia to meet officials there over the issue.
