South Korean astronomers have discovered a mid-sized black hole at the core of a small galaxy,... ten-thousand times the mass of the Sun.
A research team at Seoul National University said today that they managed to measure the black hole at the center of galaxy NGC-4-3-9-5,... providing strong evidence that intermediate mass black holes do exist.
The groundbreaking discovery was made by measuring the velocity of gas clouds swirling around the black hole,... as well as the distance between them,... using light echoes,... based on Newton's laws.
