A British Sports documentary directed by award-winning filmmaker Asif Kapadia - 'Diego Maradona' has never seen before footage from the archives of the 'fallen God of football', Diego Maradona. The documentary on the Argentinian footballer was screened at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. The film was produced by On The Corner Film, in association with Film 4 with Altitude Film serving as distributor. 'Diego Maradona' was theatrically released in the United Kingdom on 14 June 2019, and releases in India on October 11, 2019.

Asif Kapadia is an award-winning British Filmmaker, known for his films such as The Sheep Thief – that bagged an award in Short Film Category at Cannes Film Festival, and The Warrior - that won the BAFTA award for the best British film in 2003.
