Basbousa is a traditional Arabic dessert prepared by baking semolina soaked in sugary syrup.br Ingredients:br br For cake:br Butter 12 cupbr Semolina 2 cupsbr Shredded coconut 2 cupsbr Dry milk powder 2 cupsbr Yogurt 3 tbspbr Baking powder 1 12 tspbr Vanilla powder 1 tspbr Egg 2 br Almonds br br For Syrup:br Sugar 2 cupsbr Water 1 cupbr Lemon juice 1 tbspbr Cardamom 3 pcsbr br Recipe:br br For Syrup:br In a pan, add sugar, water, lemon juice & cardamom to cook till it boils.br For Basbousa cake:br Knead butter, semolina, coconut, dry milk, yogurt, baking powder & vanilla powder with eggs for 5 minutes.br Put the dough in the baking pan & press it with a spoon & garnish it with almonds as you like.br Bake Basbousa in the oven for 25 minutes at 180°C(350°F).br Pour syrup all over Basbousa and bake for other 10 minutes.br Cool down Basbousa and serve as you like.
