Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng pointed out that clamping operation in the city is a lucrative business and questioned why the need for DBKL to outsource it to a contractor.
He said DBKL outsourced it to contractor Vista Summerose without calling for an open tender. Mayor Tan Sri Mohd Amin Nordin Abd Aziz has agreed to suspend clamping operations in the city with immediate effect pending a meeting with Kuala Lumpur MPs starting May 30.
