Cold wave and severe cold have engulfed large areas of North India including Delhi. The Meteorological Department has warned that the current situation of cold and fog will continue till Friday. Due to the icy winds coming from the Western Himalayas, the minimum temperature in Delhi and the surrounding areas has recorded a rapid decline. In view of this, the Meteorological Department has announced a cold wave in Delhi.

दिल्ली समेत उत्तर भारत के बड़े क्षेत्र को शीत लहर और कड़ाके की ठंड ने अपनी चपेट में ले लिया है. मौसम विभाग ने चेतावनी दी है कि ठंड और कोहरे की मौजूदा स्थिति शुक्रवार तक जारी रहेगी. पश्चिमी हिमालय से आ रही बर्फीली हवाओं की वजह से दिल्ली और आसपास के न्यूनतम तापमान में तेजी से गिरावट दर्ज की गई है. इसके मद्देनजर मौसम विभाग ने दिल्ली में शीतलहर की घोषणा की है.
