Jayson Tatum was interviewed postgame following the Celtics’ 115-109 loss vs the New Orleans Pelicans. Tatum had a team-high 34 points but was unable to complete the comeback late in the fourth quarter.
Tatum talked about the Celtics team chemistry this season with the lack of practices and time spent with each other. “I have no idea, but we’re working towards it,” said the two-time All-Star. Boston has been struggling this season and many have speculated a part of it is due to a lack of team chemistry.
The young superstar also talked about the lack of calls from the referees in the game vs the Pelicans. He said that it’s tough not to get calls, but said that the Celtics just have to keep pushing through it and figure things out. Tatum said that they can’t give up because of a lack of calls.
He also discussed what it was like to have fans back at TD Garden. Tatum talked about the energy the limited amount of fans were able to bring and how he missed them. Tatum also mentioned Zion Williamson and how hard it is to compete against a guy as talented as him.
