2,525 individuals fined since enforcement of Emergency Ordinance; only 8% paid up to date

After launching a book on Covid-19 at the Universiti Putra Malaysia Teaching Hospital in Selangor on Friday, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba told reporters that the ministry and police had issued 2,525 compounds since the enforcement of the Emergency Ordinance amendment on March 11.
He said only 205 people had paid up and urged the remaining to pay their fines or make an appeal for a reduction if they are qualified to do so.
