Brad Stevens spoke in his postgame interview about Boston's ball movement after the Celtics trounced the Hornets 116-86. Stevens noted the team had gotten 35 assists last game against Houston and 29 against Charlotte, and said the team has been focused on cutting and moving off the ball to keep the offense rolling amongst the growing pains. The Celtics defense on the evening also earned Coach Stevens' approval, and he hopes they can continue to build off that. On new Celtic Evan Fournier, Stevens praised his shooting and his offensive presence that forces defenses to react, and said that Fournier is a good player who makes the right play. Stevens also said that Romeo Langford did a lot of good things in his limited minutes as he works his way back from COVID. When asked about potentially playing Kemba Walker on a back-to-back with several important matchups coming up this week, Coach Stevens said "they're all worth one" and that he hadn't been paying close attention to the standings over the last two weeks. Stevens said the only focus of the team is to play good basketball as of late. He also spoke on how the Celtics haven't been whole for much of the season, and said the same situation is unfolding for Charlotte, as it clearly has affected them and their play.
