Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Huzir Mohamed told reporters on Sunday that the police carried out an operation on April 9, crippling a syndicate comprising 19 companies supplying and distributing imported meat from Brazil without going through legal means.br br He said some 36 people were also detained to facilitate police investigation into a series of meat cartel scandal in the country.
