The Timberwolves, Wild and Twins postponed their games as protests extended beyond a 7 p.m. curfew, as NBA figures like Doc Rivers reacted to the tragedy before 76ers vs Mavericks:

"I think we got to stop saying it's frustrating for Black Americans, I think we should be frustrated by all Americans. I don't know if it was a mistake or not, I saw the body cam video like everyone else, I just know the frustration is a real thing for everyone ... you keep hearing this cancel culture stuff, but we're cancelling Black lives. That's a little more important, in my opinion, and it just keeps happening. We keep making mistakes when killing Black people."
