To start, the Boston Celtics pulled off a three-team trade, sending center Tristan Thompson to the Kings, while Delon Wright is going to to the Atlanta Hawks, and guard Kris Dunn, center Bruno Fernando, and a 2023 second-round pick are coming to Boston (as of right now).

Soon after, Boston struck another deal landing guard/forward Josh Richardson from the Mavericks by using the remainder of the trade exception created by the sign-and-trade deal that sent Gordon Hayward to the Charlotte Hornets in November.
