Climate change and rise in temperature can result in reduction in drinking water for the people of Bengaluru. Professor Krishna Raj highlighted the issue saying , Bengaluru city will face acute drinking water shortage in the coming years with the reduction in water availability in the Cauvery River basin mainly due to variation in precipitation levels.
