The 21-year-old wing left the Virginia Cavaliers to test the NBA waters after averaging 11.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 2020-21. He made an impressive debut at NBA Summer League scoring 26 points and coming up one rebound shy of a double-double in the Pelicans game against the Bulls. At 6 foot 9 inches with a 7 foot wing spa, Murphy III talks to SI about how he has prepared to be the dual threat the Pelicans were searching for.
