Idris: Manufacturer of ‘Timah’ liquor tried to cause provocation

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Idris Ahmad said the branding of the “Timah” liquor by its manufacturer would cause provocation among the public and he agreed that the name should be changed to stop the confusion.
Penang mufti Datuk Seri Wan Salim Wan Mohd Noor has earlier urged the government to order the manufacturer to change its brand name.
