Recently, the T20 World Cup match was played between South Africa vs West Indies. But before the match started, the players of both the teams got down on their knees and protested unitedly against racism and apartheid and promoted the 'Black Lives Matters' campaign. But South African wicket-keeper batsman Quinton deKock had pulled out of the practice in previous matches, citing personal reasons. It is believed that the reason for not participating in this campaign is that he distanced himself, not agreeing with the opinion of the team in the 'Black Life Matters' case.

हालहीं में दक्षिण अफ्रीका बनाम वेस्ट इंडीज़ के बीच टी20 विश्व कप का मुकाबला खेला गया था। मगर मैच शुरू होने से पहले दोनों टीमों के खिलाड़ियों ने मिल कर अपने घुटने पर बैठ कर नस्लवाद और रंगभेद के खिलाफ एक जुट हो कर विरोध किया और 'ब्लैक लाइफ मैटर्स' अभियान को बढ़ावा दिया। मगर दक्षिण अफ्रीका के विकेट-कीपर बल्लेबाज़ क्विंटन डी कॉक ने पिछले मुकाबलों में निजी कारणों का हवाला देते हुए इस अभ्यान से किनारा कर लिया था। ऐसा माना जा रहा है की उनके इस अभ्यान शामिल न होने का कारण है की वो 'ब्लैक लाइफ मैटर्स' मामले में टीम की राय से इत्तफाक ना करते हुए खुद को अलग किया।
