Move over, vanlifers, we’ve got an AMBULANCE home coming through.

Raychel Reimer and Nick Hurley came up with a creative solution for not being able to afford an apartment: buy and renovate a sprinter van to live in. This adventurous couple are living proof that sometimes you don’t get exactly what you wish for. Enter: retired ambulance. They stripped it, insulated it, and actually had to upsize their belongings to fill it out. Within four months of buying the ambulance, they had a perfect little home on wheels.

Reimer and Hurley speak candidly to Bustle about the facade of vanlife on social media. Mainly, it's not as glamorous as it may seem. Their relationship often turns into a game of Tetris in their small space. The pair have sacrificed any and all privacy, and spend a lot of time cleaning their tiny home. Regardless, the couple have no regrets or plans to move out of their mobile home. The benefits of eating a home-cooked meal atop a mountain outweigh any negative experiences they may have. Also, they get to save a trip on bringing groceries into the house! Who wouldn’t want that?
