NPR reports Martin Shkreli, the pharmaceutical
executive who once raised the price of a
life-saving drug by 5,000%, is now out of prison.
Shkreli will reportedly transfer
to community confinement.
Known as the "pharma bro," Shkreli
is expected to be released from the
Bureau of Prisons by September 14.
Sharing a selfie in a recent
Facebook post, Shkreli wrote.

Shkreli was found guilty on
two counts of securities fraud and
another count of conspiracy to
commit securities fraud in 2017.
A federal judge ruled Shkreli must forfeit all capital gained from his fraud scheme.

the forfeiture of $7.4 million.

from $13.50 per pill to $750.
In January, a U.S. District Judge forced Shkreli to repay the $64.6 million he received from hiking the price of Daraprim.
Shkreli has been banned from the pharmaceutical industry indefinitely
