'Shang-Chi' Star Simu Liu , Responds to Tarantino's , Marvel Criticism.
Quentin Tarantino recently referred to the present state of the U.S. entertainment industry as
"the Marvel-ization of Hollywood.".
[Marvel films are] the only things that seem to generate any kind of excitement amongst a
fanbase or even for the

While Tarantino clarified that he doesn't "hate" Marvel films, he stated that he also does not "love them.".
Filmmaker Martin Scorsese described Marvel films
as not "cinema" but more like "theme parks.".
Both filmmakers have received criticism for misogynistic portrayals of women and a
lack of diversity in their films.
The 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings'
star posted his comments to Twitter on Nov. 22.
If the only gatekeepers to movie stardom came from Tarantino and Scorsese, I would never have had the opportunity to lead a $400 million plus movie, Simu Liu, Marvel Actor, via CNN.
