K.O. Bossy — K.O. Bossy 1968 (USA, Blues, Folk Rock)br br K.O. Bossy hailed from Chicago and fused country rock with rhythm and blues. All the songs on their only album were written by John Brazas, with lyrics by his brother Mark. Like similar bands of the time, they began by emulating their more popular idols, particularly the Kinks. After a successful cover of "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl," the band was invited to play at a popular coffee shop called "The Twelfth of Never" in a Richmond park. They would have continued playing to the clinking of coffee cups for a long time, but one of the musicians decided to invite a violinist to the band, and things began to move toward recording their debut album at a small local studio. The recording and release of the album, however, failed to propel the band and its members to stardom. Furthermore, the album was poorly recorded, and its sales left much to be desired. Needless to say, the band's future fate was sealed after this.
