SCARY AVALANCHE CAUGHT ON CAMERAbr WITH VIDbr BY TIM TONGbr Watch the dramatic moment a huge avalanche thunders down the Stubai Glacier in Austria, all filmed by a mountain rescuer who happened to be on the scene.br Dawid Wiewiórski, a professional rescuer from Jelenia Góra, Poland, captured the footage from the base of the mountain less than a hundred metres away.br The video shows a massive wall of snow cascading down the slope, roaring as it swallows skiers below.br Dawid is part of GOPR Karkonosze, the Polish mountain rescue service that just so was in a training session on the glacier when the avalanche began.br Dawid said: “A few of them were buried under the snow.”br “Fortunately, nearby were many professional rescuers from GOPR KARKONOSZE, Polish mountain rescue service who had training on the Glacier.”br “Along with Horska sluzba, mountain rescuers from Czech Republic who were at the slope and other witnesses started searching for the victims.
