‘3D Sholay' to release on Amitabh Bachchan's 71st birthday

The 3D version of the 1975 Bollywood classic `Sholay` will release on Amitabh Bachchan`s 71st birthday Oct 11.
Contrary to initial buzz that the 3D version of 1975 hit Sholay was to release on August 15, sources now confirm that the film will hit the theatre on Big B's birthday.
The famous onscreen friends Jai and Veeru were flawlessly portrayed by the icons Amitabh and Dharmendra, the friendship is being revived in 3D this October.
"The date was specifically chosen as it coincides with Amitabh’s day.
Producer Jayantilal Gada will distribute 'Sholay 3D'.
'Sholay', directed by Ramesh Sippy, also featured Hema Malini, who played Basanti and Amjad Khan, who essayed villain Gabbar Singh.
