At the Screen Awards held in Mumbai on January 14, superstar Amitabh Bachchan didn't gave his co-star and alleged ex-love, Rekha, a cold shoulder. But this time he ended his 33-year-old long ignorance by greeting the actress with a namaste and a smile.
Well this was not an unintentional greet, as Big B's wife, Jaya Bachchan, also greeted her reportedly one-time rival, and was snapped holding her hand.
The extramarital affair of Amitabh Bachchan with Rekha is a part of Bollywood folklore, and the two starred together for the last time in Yash Chopra's casting coup film, Silsila (1981), which also starred Jaya Bachchan in lead. Ever since then, the Bachchan's have carefully avoided the beaming Umrao Jaan star. Well, seems like the cold war has finally ended!
