The rising steam from a boiling kettle br Created a mist that cooled and settled br Ice crystals formed from the moisture br Upon a winter window pane of grandeur br br Hot water was poured slowly into a teapot br Adorned with hand painted forget-me-nots br Teabags steeped freeing a hue of brown-red br As the iridescence of a pearl moon was shed br br On fanciful crystals magically bursting forth br With sprays of sparkling frozen fireworks… br Others appeared as precious leaf-like gems br Growing on branches outward from stems br br Translucent frosted glass diffused the night sky br Silhouetted trees were barely visible to the eye br Closely observing; exhaling with a puckered thaw br Warm breath made a portal through the frosty awe br br Blowing snow was apparent through the peek hole br The comfort of a warm cup reassured and consoled br br 13008br br Theresa Ann Moorebr br
