Should I ever proclaim the one thing
Which gave meaning to my life
Making all so worthwhile, sweet prince,
Then it would be in the knowing of you.
You are my soulmate, dearest of my heart
Brightest light within the darkness guiding me
Heroic knight of dreams and ambition
My greatest love making my poetry flourish.
You were always there encouraging me
Loving the poet in all his chaotic moods
And when my steps faltered and I fell
You carried me until my strength returned
Never complaining or questioning
And my poetry exists only because of you.
