Two car bombs exploded in the central Baghdad district of Karada, on Saturday. Karrada is a mostly Shi'ite commercial area in central Baghdad, was busy on Saturday night when two car bombers attacked the area.

The first, a suicide bomber, was hiding explosives inside a parked car positioned adjacent to a busy cafe when he detonated his bomb.

Ten minutes later, another bomb also went off in the same area. That bomber got out of his car and left it unattended. Whether the bomb had a timer or if it was remotely

detonated has not been revealed.

The two blasts killed 14 people and injured dozens more.

The Islamic State has conducted several bombings in Baghdad in the last week, seen as a response to Iraqi military pressure to wrest the country's north and west from the terror group's control.
