A 4-year-old Florida boy is recovering in hospital after being struck in the head by a speeding baseball at a Jacksonville Suns game on Saturday.

Brian Stotler and his 4-year-old son Noah were enjoying the game when a line drive came straight toward them. Brian wasn't sure if the the ball had hit Noah because the boy didn't cry and his face didn't look hurt or damaged.

However, once they were home that evening, Noah began throwing up and not making any sense. His parents rushed him to the hospital and it turns out he had an epidural brain hematoma, shattered forehead and an orbital roof bone fracture.

Doctors say the strike could have been deadly, but Noah is recovering well, and even had some special guests from the Suns and Jaguars visit him in the hospital.
