Google’s Self-Driving Car Prototypes To Navigate Public Roads This Summer

Google has recently announced that its self-built cars will drive autonomously on public roads starting this summer after receiving government approval.

A few of Google's custom built self-driving cars will begin navigating public streets for the first time this summer after receiving government approval. 

Their maximum speed will be limited to 25 miles per hour, and a human will be on board at all times, able to take control if needed. 

The new prototypes are equipped with the same software installed in the Lexus SUVs the company has been using to test autonomous driving.

The Lexus SUV’s have since accumulated almost a million miles on the open road.
