Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis left the Mediterranean nation’s finance ministry and rode his motorbike over to Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras' office at the Maximou in Athens, Tuesday, to brief Tsipras on the latest developments in the Greek debt crisis. The deadline to pay €1.6 billion, or $1.8 billion, worth of debt to the IMF has passed, and the IMF has confirmed that it has not received the debt payment from Greece, meaning the country is officially ‘in arrears’, making it the first developed country to default on international obligations.
