Today we’re unboxing two new Nintendo amiibo figures, Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man! Reagan unboxes both Sonic and Mega Man, then gives them her signature reboxing back into their original packaging! After reboxing and unboxing them again, Reagan plays with the two amiibo figures like toys, pitting them against each other in a three-round brawl! Can you guess who wins? Which amiibo is your favorite?

These two amiibo figures are from “wave 3” of Nintendo’s amiibo line of toys. Amiibo figures are much like Skylanders or Disney Infinity figures in that they are used with different Nintendo video games to unlock new features in the game. Amiibo figures represent characters from many different Nintendo franchises, including Super Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda, Metroid, F-Zero, Star Fox, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Wii Fit, Kid Icarus, Super Mario Galaxy, Pikmin, Xenoblade, Game and Watch, Wario Ware, Earthbound and Punch-Out! Can you believe that there are no Waluigi or Ridley amiibo figures? That’s crazy!

Sonic the Hedgehog is a fictional video game character owned by SEGA of Japan. Sonic is a super fast blue hedgehog who lives on the planet Mobius with his friends Tails, Amy & Knuckles, where they fight the evil Dr. Robotnik (or sometimes called Dr. Eggman) and his badniks! Sonic has appeared in video games across many consoles, including the SEGA Master System, Game Gear, Mega Drive, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, GameBoy Advance, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, Nintendo DS, 3DS, Neo Geo Pocket, mobile and arcade. Sonic has also appeared in comics, TV shows and toy lines, including the new Sonic Boom animated cartoon appearing on Cartoon Network and it’s comic tie-in by Archie Comics. Sonic loves chili dogs and also answers to “the Blue Blur” as a nickname!

Mega Man is a fictional video game character owned by Capcom. Mega Man and his friends Roll, Rush and Proto Man are robots created by Dr. Light in the year 200X, and he fights against the evil Dr. Wily and his evil robot masters! Mega Man has appeared in video games on several consoles also, including the NES (Nintendo), SNES (Super Nintendo), SEGA Mega Drive, Saturn, Sony Playstation, N64, PS2, GameCube, Microsoft Xbox, Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, GameBoy, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance, Game Gear and arcade. Mega Man also had his own toy line and TV show in the 90s! Mega Man also answers to “the Blue Bomber” as a nickname! Did you know that the Japanese name for Mega Man is Rockman?
