Nëse dyshon se fëmija yt nuk ka shenja te nje zhvillimi normal apo ne rastin me te keq shfaq simptoma te autizmit, mund te besh diagnostikimin për here te pare ne një qendër te specializuar ne vend. Fondacioni fëmijët shqiptare ka ngritur qendrën rajonale për autizmin ne Shqipëri, nisur si një mbështetje dhe kthyer ne nevoje për këtë sëmundje qe shenon cdo vit 200 raste te reja. Qendra jo vetëm do te trajtoje fëmijët përmes programeve te posaçme për këtë lloj sëmundjeje, por do te ndihmoje prindërit ne sjelljen me ta pasi shenjat e autizmit janë specifike duke nisur qe nga mbyllja ne vetvete, refuzimi i te folurit dhe agresiviteti. Drejtuesja e fondacionit fëmijët shqiptare deklaroi se për here te pare ne Shqipëri po hartohet një strategji për sëmundjen e autizmit. Ambientet e qendrës kane kapacitet pritës për 200 fëmije dhe 50 profesioniste te trajnuar për autizmin. Ne vende si Amerika ne çdo 100 fëmijë një diagnostikohet si autist.
